The Agriculture Committee is responsible for the maintenance of the campus garden and the auxiliary activities that promote it. The committee will host our weekly Friday Gardening Sessions, as well as other activities that are both informative and fun, showing EUR students a different way of enjoying university life. This includes wild mushroom picking at Kralingse Bos, beekeeping courses, and maintaining the ESH Plant Nursery.
This committee is tasked with increasing awareness of organic farming, developing a marketing plan for our agricultural projects, and launching our HomeGrown project, which promotes Erasmians to grow their own fruit and vegetable at home. As it is a relatively new project, there is much potential for growth, which is why it will need independent and hardworking people who are not afraid to take initiative.
The Agriculture Manager takes charge of growing the Gardening Sessions and expanding the reach of the Campus Garden. As manager, you will organize all sorts of events throughout the year and manage the committee as a whole. In addition, you will be co-leading the HomeGrown project and scaling up the initiative for composting.
