Sustainability COP Simulation

Have you ever wondered what happens when different actors like countries, international organizations and private actors come together to discuss the repercussions of climate change? If you’re interested in how dynamics at the COP meetings shape the outcome of the Loss and Damages fund, look no further: we are organizing a fun and interactive way for you to learn what those COPs are all about. How will you act if you’re representing a high income country? Or what demands would you make if your country is drowning? You will get to play one of the many stakeholders usually present, discuss and negotiate on how much to contribute to the fund or the eligibility criteria. There will be time for formal and informal negotiations where you can represent your actor to the best of your abilities. The delegations of “COP30” will have an opportunity to vote on the final proposal in the end as well.
